ATLANTA — A 61-year-old woman was shot in the chest and arm early Wednesday morning after someone fired shots into her home, according to Atlanta Police.
Police said it happened off Kipling Street around 4:30 a.m.
The victim told police that she was inside of her home when she suddenly heard someone shooting at her house. That's when the victim realized that she had been shot in the chest.
The woman was taken to Grady Hospital "alert, conscious, and breathing."
The case is still under investigation.
