COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating after shots were fired at a high school in Cobb County on Saturday night, the district confirmed.
According to the school district, shots were fired during a community event at South Cobb High School.
The Georgia Middle School Athletic Association's online schedule shows that South Cobb's 8th-grade football game against Walton-Blue was scheduled for 7 p.m. at that location.
Cobb County Police said that a juvenile suspect has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault, reckless conduct, minor in possession of a firearm, criminal trespass, and violation of probation.
Officers add that the one person who was shot had non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
Police said the investigation is still active and additional information will be forthcoming.
