ATLANTA — A 37-year-old man is now facing charges for his alleged role in a southwest Atlanta fire that displaced over a dozen people, according to Atlanta Police.
The fire happened on New Year's Day at the complex located at 1931 Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW.
Red Cross volunteers said they responded to the fire and helped 16 people. They added they do not expect that number to rise.
According to Fulton County Jail records, the man is being charged with first-degree arson. He is being held without bond, records state.
11Alive has reached out to the Atlanta Fire Department to learn more about the fire.
