COMMERCE, Ga. — A north Georgia man is facing a long list of charges after police said he victimized several young boys.
The Commerce Police Department said it charged Steven Blackmon with 44 counts of child sex-related charges, including sexual exploitation of children, enticing a child for indecent purposes, child molestation, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy and more.
Police said they have identified six victims of Blackmon, all reportedly young boys at the time of the alleged crimes. However, police said there may be more.
Commerce Police said their investigation stretched several years however, during which they confirmed that Blackmon was arrested in 1992 in Huntsville, Alabama in for second degree sexual abuse.
No other information was available.
