STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Clayton County Police have arrested the suspect accused of opening fire on three people inside a car, killing 20-year-old Dakota Farr.
DeQunn D. Watts was taken into custody early this morning without incident in Stockbridge. He was No. 1 on Sheriff Victor Hill’s Top Ten Most Wanted for committing the second murder of the year in Clayton County.
Watts is accused of firing on a car parked outside a vacant trailer home in a Stockbridge mobile home park on Jan. 2. Police said Farr, a woman and a child were sitting in the car at the time of the shooting.
Farr was injured but able to flag down help when officers responded. Emergency crews rushed him to the hospital but he did not survive. The woman’s arm was rendered useless after the shooting. The child was not hit by the bullets.
Clayton County Police said Watts allegedly shot them “for no apparent reason.” Watts is now facing charges of murder and aggravated battery.
