SMYRNA, Ga. — A suspect is in custody after feeling from police and being stopped with a PIT maneuver early Thursday morning in Smyrna.
The Cobb County Police Department said its officers initiated a stop at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Glendale Place when the driver fled. Pictures from the scene showed the case ended a short distance away.
There was no immediate information available about the suspect or that individual's potential charges.
Cobb Police did not report any injuries in the incident.
A department statement said:
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle that fled from an officer at the intersection of S Cobb Dr and Glendale Pl. A successful PIT maneuver was used to bring the vehicle to a stop, and the suspect is now in custody. We do not have any further information at this time.
