ATLANTA — One man was arrested, and another has an outstanding warrant after a SWAT incident on Osborn Street Tuesday night.
Around 3:48 p.m., officers said they were investigating a man wanted for aggravated assault. However, when they got to the street, the suspect and several others fled on foot.
One of the other men apparently opened a window to a nearby home on Birch Street and climbed through, prompting officers to request a SWAT team in an attempt to locate the individuals.
The man who broke into the home was found hiding in the attic, according to police. He was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, obstruction, and providing a false name to police, according to officers.
Police add that SWAT units were able to clear the home on Osborn Street but could not find the man they were originally called out to find. However, they said they recovered multiple guns and illegal drugs.
