ATLANTA — An investigation is underway after a 17-year-old boy was found shot to death in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, according to police.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the teen as Malik Heard.
It happened on Friday around 6 p.m. when officers got a person shot call. They responded to 375 Boulevard NE near Wabash Avenue, which appears to be near a convenience store.
When police arrived on the scene, they found Heard shot to death.
Atlanta Police said that Homicide Unit investigators responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
No information on suspects has been released at this time.
