A 14-year-old was hospitalized after being stabbed by a family member, according to the Atlanta Police Department on Sunday.
Officers were called to Thorton Place SW around 3 p.m. after receiving reports that someone had been stabbed. When they arrived, police said they found a 14-year-old with a stab wound in his back.
The police said he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The investigating officer said the incident began as an argument between the teen and a man related to him. Officers said the man was arrested and that APD's Domestic Violence Unit also responded.
Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
