ATLANTA — A 17-year-old murder suspect wanted in connection to a homicide in DeKalb County was arrested Wednesday morning by the Towns County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities add that Anthony Freeman was taken into custody just before 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the Towns County Sheriff's Office said it received a call about an abandoned vehicle in a wooded area near the Young Harris College campus.
Deputies added that the vehicle was wanted in connection to a homicide in DeKalb County.
Though unoccupied, authorities were able to connect the vehicle to Freeman, who was wanted for murder and theft of a motor vehicle.
Because Freeman was considered armed and dangerous, classes were canceled as law enforcement searched for him.
