Teens charged with murder of 19-year-old in Gwinnett County; one of them still at large

The homicide originally happened back in June, according to police.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Two teens have been charged in a homicide that happened back in June, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Officers made the announcement on Tuesday.

Eighteen-year-old Anwar Singleton has been charged with:

  • Malice Murder
  • Felony Murder
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Felonies

Nineteen-year-old Prince James has been charged with:

  • Malice Murder
  • Felony Murder
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Felonies

Officers also noted that James is still not in custody, and his whereabouts are unknown.

Gwinnett County Police Department said officers were dispatched to a fire station originally to speak with a man who was dropped off by two friends after being shot at a park. They took him there for emergency help. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. 

While police were investigating at the fire station, they received another call about gunshots being fired at Lenora Park. The police department reported shell casings were found around the area. 

The Gwinnett County Police Department eventually announced that 19-year-old Brian Arnold-Causey of Snellville as the victim in the shooting, which happened at a park on Lenora Church Road.
