'It's unbelievable' | Brazen thieves hit multiple South Fulton businesses for drugs and merchandise back-to-back

Detectives say the two are the same men who broke into a Beauty Supply store in DeKalb County and got away with $10,000 cash and $500 in merchandise.

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — A string of break-ins in South Fulton have some business owners on edge and police on high alert.

Officers say they're searching for two men suspected of breaking into three businesses on the same morning -- just minutes apart.

"You just feel violated. My employee actually came in, and she said, 'Oh, my God! Someone broke in," Linda Davis said.

She's one of a few business owners targeted on Oct. 10. At the place she built from the ground up, Old Nat Pharmacy, they only took 20 minutes.

"I saw them on video cutting a doggie door in the back door to get in and then sliding on the ground. He cut a hole through the bathroom to get to the office and disarm the alarm system. Then he cut a hole in the right side of the safe and emptied it," Davis said.

All of this happened at 3:20 a.m. when South Fulton police say they got away with morphine, oxycodone, and weight-loss drugs.

"My heart was racing. It was pounding out my chest. I was sick because this is my baby," Davis said.

But she wasn't the only one hit that morning. At 3:50 a.m., 10 miles away, police said Lee's Family Pharmacy was hit, but the men didn't get away with anything. Pictures show them in the same clothes and with a crowbar in hand.

"They pried open the door there. Fortunately, they didn't get in, so they took off from that location," South Fulton Police Spokesperson Tori Cooper said.

They went to the Beauty Supply that was two minutes away and shattered the glass at 4 a.m.

"The alarm went off, officers responded quickly, and they just took off," Cooper said.

Detectives say the two are the same men who broke into a Beauty Supply store in Dekalb County on October 1st. They're using the same silver sedan. That time, they got away with $10,000 cash and $500 in merchandise.

"They're warning businesses to be more vigilant. We have to be," Davis said.

Now she is with stepped-up security and her gun by her side.

"That was our first break-in ever, and it's like good luck on if you try again because we've now filled in the gaps where we found out how this was able to occur," Davis said.

Police are asking anyone who comes in contact with the individuals they're searching for to refrain from engaging and call law enforcement immediately. If you have any information, please contact Detective J. Rittberg at 404-312-0200 or via email at Jeffrey.rittberg@cityofsouthfultonga.gov.
