ATLANTA — A Lululemon store in West Midtown was targeted in an overnight burglary on Dec. 10, with thieves making off with merchandise valued at more than $26,000.
The store sits along Howell Mill Road in the Westside Provisions District, a popular shopping and dining destination.
According to Atlanta police, the break-in was discovered around 6:30 a.m. by a security guard on patrol, who noticed the store’s glass front door shattered.
Inside, authorities found broken glass scattered across the entrance, along with possible blood droplets near the doorway, police said. Crime scene technicians were called to collect evidence, and investigators are working to identify the suspects involved.
The store manager reported that approximately 232 items, valued at $26,708.81, were stolen. The Lululemon break-in is the latest in a string of burglaries targeting retail businesses in metro Atlanta.
Just a few hundred feet away, on September 30, the owner of Full Circle ATL, a vintage shoe and clothing store, reported a similar incident in which 8–10 suspects used a stolen truck to smash through the front of their building. Approximately $100,000 in merchandise was stolen.
The store’s owner said their business is one of about a dozen locally owned boutique clothing stores in the metro Atlanta area targeted by thieves this year.
On October 16, Price Tag ATL on Roswell Road in Buckhead was hit. The owners shared surveillance video showing an SUV crashing into their building, followed by a single suspect stealing merchandise. The store owner said the stolen items totaled close to $100,000.
Store owners say their livelihoods are at stake between the stolen merchandise and extensive damage to the buildings.
