GILMER COUNTY, Ga. — Four Ellijay men have been arrested and charged with felony murder following a deadly shooting of a 19-year-old Gilmer County, according to authorities.
The Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a 911 call around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, regarding a person shot. Deputies and EMS arrived at the 200 block of South Main Street in Ellijay, where they found 19-year-old Mallory Lyric Warden of Jasper inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital but later died from her injuries.
Authorities later determined the shooting happened on Talona Road in Gilmer County.
Following an investigation involving the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), three suspects were initially charged with felony murder: Gray Anthony McClure, 21; Robert Gabriel Shoilekov, 17; and Davonnte Lavon Brehon, 18. All three men are from Ellijay.
On Sunday, the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a fourth suspect, 19-year-old Anthony Jared Inestruza Whisnant. He is currently being charged with felony murder, according to officials.
