WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. -- The woman accused of killing a convenience store clerk in Dalton last year will go on trial this week.

Skyy Raven Marie Mims faces several charges, including murder and armed robbery, in the death of 37-year-old Dayahbai Chaudhari. The victim, a clerk at Kanku's Express on Airport Road, was fatally stabbed Mar. 9, 2014.

Investigators said Mims, an aspiring model and singer, was on her way to Atlanta from Detroit at the time of the murder. She was arrested at a home in Bartow County, where police also recovered lottery tickets stolen from the convenience store.

11Alive News sister station WRCB in Chattanooga said Mims pleaded not guilty to the charges against her. During a motions hearing last week, she reportedly laughed and asked a Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent if he was psychic.

Jury selection for Mims's trial begins Monday at 9 a.m.
