CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Police have made two arrests in the death of a teen outside a Clayton County home.
on Tuesday, authorities confirmed the arrest of 22-year-old Dantae Jones and a 16-year-old in the murder of Jalen Camron.
Police believe that both were involved in the 17-year-old's shooting death on Saturday at a home in the 100 block of Gristmill Court. That's where police said they were called after a neighbor noticed a suspicious person and then heard "two pops." Shortly after the neighbor heard someone banging on the rear door of a home and screaming for help.
Officers soon found Camron laying face down on the side of the home. Jones was determined to be the killer though the teen suspect - whose name was withheld due to his age - was also later connected to the crime.
Jones was found at a Gordon County hotel where he barricaded himself in his hotel room but was ultimately taken into custody. The teen was also arrested shortly after police issued a warrant for his capture.
