DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The DeKalb County Police Department is investigating after a woman was found dead in a parking lot outside a Kroger on Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded to the 2300 block of Wesley Chapel Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle shortly before 10 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman dead inside the vehicle.
It's currently unknown whether foul play was involved, but detectives responded to the scene to further the investigation, police said.
On Tuesday, DeKalb County officials identified the victim as 36-year-old Shekema Toran.
