Police in Newnan are looking for suspects in the shooting death of a woman who was gunned down through the walls of a house December 30, 2018..
Officers initially responded at about 9:15 to reports of a person not breathing at the home on Savannah Street. When they arrived, officers said they found 19-year-old Aubria Foster on a couch in the living room, with no life signs.
They began CPR on her until EMS crews arrived to take over. Foster was transported to Piedmont Newnan Hospital where she was later declared deceased.
Detectives determined that several gunshots had been fired at the home. They found spent shell casings in the street outside and multiple bullet holes in the home itself.
Investigators were able to determine that one bullet had entered through an external wall, hitting Foster in her left upper back and shoulder area.
Detectives said that at this point, they have no suspects, nor any motive for the shooting.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Newnan Police Sgt. Greg VanSant at 770-254-2355 Ext. 124.
