ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police are searching for two men accused of shooting a woman in an attempted robbery in southeast Atlanta.
The victim was shot twice at around 11:45 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Oak Drive SE, shortly after getting off a MARTA bus on her way home from work.
Atlanta Police said the woman walked about half a block away from the bus stop when she was approached by two suspects who demanded money. She told them she had nothing, and they shot her in the stomach, according to police. While she was lying on the ground, they shot her in the back.
The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Police said the suspects are black men in their late teens or early 20's. The victim described one suspect as tall with short hair, while the other was "chubby" and had dreadlocks.
