NEWNAN, Ga. — A man was arrested, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, following a deadly shooting inside a Newnan gun shop on Friday night.
Officers with the Newnan Police Department responded around 9:20 p.m. to a call reporting an unknown problem at Oz Tactical, a gun, knife and ammunition business at 1 East Court Square. While officers were on their way, a second call clarified that a gun had gone off at the business.
When officers arrived, a woman identified as 28-year-old Olivia Robinson was found shot. She was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.
GBI said 38-year-old William Brannon Owens was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and murder. He was booked into the Coweta County Jail.
