ATLANTA — A woman was shot dead inside a southeast Atlanta home early on Saturday, according to Atlanta Police Department.
According to reports, a man has been taken into custody as a person of interest for the shooting on Fraser Street in a neighborhood near the Alexen Summerhill apartment complex.
Police have not released any names of those involved. It is still unclear what led to the shooting or whether the woman and the man in custody knew each other.
Lt. Christan Hunt with APD said that the department's homicide unit had taken over the case. Hunt also mentioned that the case was "open and closed."
Their investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to come forward. The department has not released further details about the incident or the woman's condition.
