LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A fight between family members turned into a deadly shooting on Tuesday night, according to police in Lawrenceville.
It happened at a home on Spanish Moss Court, according to Gwinnett County Police Department. Officers were dispatched around 8:45 p.m. to the house, where they found a woman shot dead.
The person identified by the police as the shooter stayed at the scene and was interviewed by homicide detectives.
According to the police department, the shooter is a woman related to the victim. The two live inside the home, and police said witnesses told officers a fight led to the shooting.
Police are withholding the victim's name until their next of kin is notified.
