Woman snatches iPhone during transaction set up online, police say

She apparently lured her victim after agreeing to a transaction via the LetGo app.

Gwinnett Police are looking for help from the public in finding a woman who they said robbed a man during a transaction involving an online purchase.

According to police, on Dec. 29, a Roswell man agreed to meet with a woman to sell his iPhone X through the LetGo app.

The two had agreed on a sale price of $790.

They met at a Sherwin Williams store in the 3900 block of Holcomb Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners. While the two were talking, the woman grabbed the iPhone and ran off, according to police.

When meeting with officers, the victim shared a photo of the woman that the woman used in her profile on the LetGo app. The victim said the photo was the same woman who had stolen his phone.
