ATLANTA — Shannon Stillwell, one of the six co-defendants on trial in the alleged YSL gang RICO case, was stabbed in the Fulton County Jail, the sheriff's office said.
It happened Sunday night at the facility on Rice Street. Stillwell is currently in stable condition, the sheriff's office said in a release Monday afternoon.
According to a release, another inmate and Stillwell got into a fight and during the incident Still was "stabbed multiple times." Both Stillwell and the other inmate were housed in the same zone, and the sheriff's office said it is unknown was led to the fight.
Judge Ural Glanville addressed the issue in court, dismissing jurors and recessing the trial until Tuesday morning.
"We've had a medical issue come up with one of our participants, so I'm going to have to recess for today," Judge Glanville told jurors.
