PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — An arrest was made regarding the shooting death of an 11-year-old in late April, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday; two others are wanted in connection to the case.
Deputies said on Tuesday that 18-year-old Osman Sesay was arrested in North Carolina on Saturday and is being transported back to Georgia in connection to Zander Whatley's death. As of Tuesday afternoon, Sesay is still awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
There are two other young men allegedly involved in the shooting who are still wanted by authorities: 19-year-old Al-Hamid Ibrahim Kuyateh and 19-year-old Nazier Lloyd Anderson. All three men are facing murder charges, according to the sheriff's office.

Zander Whatley died on April 29 after Paulding County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a shooting on Ruth Way around 11 p.m., finding that multiple shots were fired at a home.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, according to the sheriff's office. William Dorsey, Zander's stepdad, said in April that Zander has 11 siblings, saying the 11-year-old enjoyed being a brother and helping his siblings. He added that "there's a lot of love" in the home.
