ATHENS, Ga. — An Athens man's accused killer has been found in Texas.

Athens-Clarke County police said that 30-year-old Philmon Chambers was wanted in the murder of Rodriguez Rucker, who was killed just days before Christmas on Royal Court in the east part of the city. Police found the victim just after 3 p.m. that day.

Days later, police identified a truck they believed tied to the crime - and then named Chambers, of Decatur, as a suspect, securing a malice murder warrant for his arrest.

A multi-state search later turned up Chambers in the city of Killeen in Texas. The same day, police closer to home also arrested 24-year-old Andrea Browner of Athens and charged her with felony murder.  Police said the two were "known associates."
