NEW YORK -- A Delta Air Lines plane scheduled to land at LaGuardia Airport Wednesday night was diverted to nearby John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Flight 889 took off from Atlanta at 6:45 p.m. As the plane descended into New York, a hydraulic system indicator came on, causing the flight to be diverted, according to a Delta spokesperson.
The plane landed normally, but as it taxied to the gate, it rolled a bit off the runway and into a grassy area. All 118 passengers aboard deplaned by walking out the plane's back door and down the stairs, Delta said.
Port Authority buses took the passengers from the plane to the terminal.
