ATLANTA — For families who work to make ends meet, school supplies are an additional expense to bear. Many teachers see students show up to school without enough supplies to help them learn and grow to their greatest potential.
That's why, as kids head back to school, 11Alive is once again partnering with Fulton County Schools for a school supply drive.
The school supply drive will benefit students and families at Heritage Elementary School and McNair Middle School. The drive continues through Aug. 23, and the community is invited to join our efforts to collect enough school supplies for all the students.
How you can help:
The community can join our efforts through a simple Amazon Wish list the schools have created with items the students need to thrive and succeed in the classroom.
Click on the link for the Amazon Wish List to purchase them as a donation, and the items will ship directly to the schools.
The 11Alive Morning News team will be celebrating with the students at the end of the month at an Olympic-themed pep rally to deliver the supplies.
