Georgia Apply to College Month | How high school seniors can use fee waivers

It's the third year the Georgia Student Finance Commission has worked to provide waivers.

ATLANTA — Georgia's high school seniors can apply to several state colleges and universities for free this month.

The Georgia Student Finance Commission partnered with the University System of Georgia, the Technical College System of Georgia, private institutions, and Georgia Military College to provide fee waivers during Georgia Apply to College Month. High school seniors can apply to 50 schools with an application fee waiver from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.

This is the third year GSFC has promoted application fee waivers throughout November. According to the agency, more than 16,000 Georgia seniors completed at least one college application using waivers.

There is no limit on the number of schools students may apply to using the fee waivers. Some institutions will automatically waive the application fee for students applying through the institution's website, while others may require a code.
