ATLANTA — A Georgia Tech sorority will no longer exist after it decided it wanted to help raise money for a good cause.
Alpha Delta Chi, a sorority on Tech's campus for more than 20 years, will close its doors after the Sigma Chapter sold its house on campus and pledged the money from the sale toward creating an endowed scholarship for students with low and limited income.
The news came via a social media post by Georgia Tech's X account on Tuesday.
Georgia Tech's president, Angel Cabrera, thanked members of the sorority, saying it was one of the largest gifts given by a Greek organization to Georgia Tech, according to the post.
