Gwinnett County Public Schools makes Forbes' Best Employers for Women' list

The Gwinnett County Public School District ranked 40th in education and 207th overall in a survey of over 150,000 women, according to a release.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A metro Atlanta school district made Forbes' list of "America's Best Employers for Women."

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) ranked 40th in the education industry and 207th overall, the district said.

Forbes partnered with Statista, a market research company, to survey more than 150,000 women at companies with at least 1,000 employees to help determine the rankings, according to a GCPS press release. The rankings are based on both survey responses and combined research.

GCPS Chief Human Resources Officer Cathy Hardin said the honor is a testament to the district's commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive.

"Our hiring practices emphasize equity and opportunity, and our culture is one that values diversity, collaboration and growth," Hardin stated. "Being named to this prestigious list highlights the hard work and dedication of our entire team in creating an environment where women feel empowered and respected."

The district also made Forbes' 2024 list for "Best Employers for New Grads," coming in at No. 185.
