ATLANTA — André 3000 shocked the world when he released his all-flute album, New Blue Sun, in November of last year. Now, the former Outkast musician has announced the New Blue Sun Live tour, supporting his ambient jazz album, with four shows in his hometown of Atlanta.
He made the announcement Tuesday in a post on Instagram.
The Grammy award-winning artist will perform in Atlanta three nights in a row at the Variety Playhouse on Feb. 27-29 and then again on March 2 at the Center Stage Theater. The shows will feature New Blue Son collaborators Carlos Niño, Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, and Deantoni Parks.
Tickets for the New Blue Sun Live tour go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. The tickets will go on sale via André 3000's website.
