Angelina Jolie's daughter pledges in Divine Nine Greek sorority at Spelman College

The Mu Phi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. has gained its newest member.

ATLANTA — Angelina Jolie's daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, has pledged a Divine Nine Greek sorority becoming one of the newest members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. sorority, in a new video from Essence.

She pledged the organization at a probate on Wednesday night at Spelman College, where she attends. At least 50 young women became a member of the Mu Phi chapter in Atlanta.

Zahara will soon be representing the organization with her new salmon pink and apple green paraphernalia.

In a video posted by Essence, Zahara introduces herself as one of the newest sisters in the sorority.

Her mother expressed her excitement on Instagram last year when she announced her daughter will be attending Spelman College. She posted a photo of the 17-year-old with the caption "Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl," Jolie wrote. 

She joins the most notable members daughter of prominent Atlanta Civil Rights leader, Bernice King, and her mother, Coretta Scott King. Zahara is also sorors with Vice President Kamala Harris and many other notable women in history.
