ATLANTA — TODAY show host Carson Daly and his wife Siri Pinter welcomed their fourth child on Thursday night, and the TODAY team celebrated little Goldie's arrival this morning.
The baby girl is their third daughter. In an Instagram post, Daly said she was 8.2 pounds and that she and Siri were "doing great."
"I was looking at Irish names on St. Patrick's Day morning and I stumbled on Goldie," Daly explained in a video call with his TODAY co-hosts. "And she seems like the pot of gold at the end of our family rainbow."
Daly posted a picture of his new daughter, his wife and himself to Instagram after her birth. The parents were wearing masks, and Daly made a special note to thank medical staff that have been overwhelmed in New York City during the coronavirus outbreak.
"The Daly family wants to send a special shout out to the incredibly brave & selfless medical staff at our hospital in New York and also the many courageous people on the front lines of this dreadful virus," he wrote.
On TODAY this morning, he said he was "profoundly moved by two things - number one is the strength of my wife... and also the medical staff we worked with."
