Friends and family said goodbye to former supermodel Kim Porter on Saturday at a funeral in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia.
The father of Porter's children, Sean "Diddy" Combs spoke at the service and Pastor T.D. Jakes officiated the service.
Porter, 47, graduated from Columbus High School at age 17. According to her family, she bought a one-way ticket to New York City after she graduated to pursue a modeling career. She signed with Wilhelmina Agency, a renowned talent agency.
Diddy and Porter met in New York City.
Family previously released a statement in the wake of her sudden death remembering the woman she was and the impact she had on their lives.
"Kim was raised with southern values and remained close to her traditional roots and upbringing throughout her storied life," her family said in a press release. "She deeply loved her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, and was most happy when she was able to return home for family visits."
Porter will be buried next to her mother in Evergreen Memorial Park. The 47-year-old mother of four was found dead in her California home on Nov. 15. No cause of death has been released.
