Megan Thee Stallion's tour: Atlanta's Friday show rescheduled

The Friday night concert has been moved to Sunday.

ATLANTA — Hotties who had been hoping to see Megan Thee Stallion's Hot Girl Summer Tour stop in Atlanta Friday night will have to wait a bit longer thanks to the day's water main break.

Fans were supposed to be able to see the "Hot Girl Coach" herself at 8 p.m. on May 31 and June 1 at State Farm Arena, but those dates have now been adjusted.

The show scheduled for Friday night will be postponed to Sunday, June 2. Tickets purchased for Friday night’s show will automatically be honored for Sunday. The Saturday, June 1 show is currently scheduled to take place.

Officials with State Farm Arena said they and Live Nation are in communication with the City of Atlanta and their Department of Watershed Management offices.

"We will keep fans informed of any updates to the performances this weekend," State Farm Arena said. "We encourage patrons to look at State Farm Arena’s social media pages for the most current information."

In a statement on the platform X, the rapper wrote that she was "extremely disappointed" to have to reschedule because of a "surprise" she had in store.

"But we will follow the Mayor’s protocol," she wrote, adding she was "praying for the people who lost access to water due to this situation."

The "Hiss" artist said the concert would include Memphis-based rapper GloRilla, who recently was arrested for driving under the influence in Gwinnett County. She became an overnight sensation online in 2022 with her track “FNF (Let’s Go),” which became one of the songs of the summer and peaked in the top 50 on Billboard 100.

She recently released a song with Houston-based rapper Megan Thee Stallion, sampling rapper Soulja Boy's "Pretty Boy Swag."

State Farm Arena wasn't the only attraction in town forced to alter hours for the public following the major water main break. On Friday, Zoo Atlanta and the Georgia Aquarium both closed early because of the issues that stemmed from a large break on the west side of town, just blocks from State Farm Arena, the Atlanta University Center and other landmarks. A boil water advisory for a large part of the city is now in effect as crews work to fix the break.
