A movie production notice warns of road closures, actors in monster makeup, and simulated gun fire near downtown Macon.

MACON, Ga. — Businesses near Macon's old downtown industrial area are getting notices warning of road closures, actors in monster makeup, and simulated gunfire in late January and early February.

The feature film shoot overlaps the same time Ruben Fleischer, who directed the 2009 surprise hit comedy-horror "Zombieland," has said he expects to start filming that movie's sequel in Georgia.

According to the IMDB website, "Zombieland 2" will reunite original cast members Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and Jessie Eisenberg. Right now, there's no indication if some or even all of the stars may travel to Macon for the shoot.

Extras Casting Atlanta has been advertising for extras in the Macon area during the same time this shoot is scheduled. The company did not name the production, only referring to it as a feature film. They helped cast the original "Zombieland" when it shot in Georgia, along with extras for the popular Georgia-filmed zombie TV thriller "The Walking Dead."

The Eisenhower Parkway extension will be closed during filming.

The filming notice says you can expect Eisenhower Parkway to be completely closed  in both directions between Broadway and Lower Boundary Street in Macon during filming. The shutdown is supposed to run from 7 a.m. on Monday, February 4th until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 10th.

One southbound lane of 7th Street will close from 7 a.m. Monday, February 4th until 7 p.m. Saturday the 9th.

You can also expect intermittent traffic pauses for around 3 minutes at a time on 7th Street between Lower Boundary Street and South Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on between Tuesday,  February 5th and Friday, the 8th.

There were reports that "Zombieland 2" would hit theaters in October of this year in time for the 10th anniversary of the original release. With shooting just now underway there's some speculation the date could be delayed.
