ATLANTA — A MARTA rider is facing charges after a fight over a missed bus broke out in the station.
It happened at the West End station around 6 p.m., Thursday, authorities said.
According to a narrative by MARTA, an officer was patrolling the southbound platform at the station and heard the screams. The officer tracked the shouts down and found a group of women on the platform.
According to MARTA, a bus driver and a station agent saw Isis Jackson holding Sharaven Clark, and initially thought the two were playing. The station agent tried to separate them.
MARTA said Jackson and Clark got into an argument about missing their bus, and that's when Clark reportedly pushed Jackson "in frustration." Jackson reportedly defended herself by "holding" Clark.
Clark was charged with Simple Battery and given a 60 day suspension.
