ATLANTA — Former Atlanta City Council president Ceasar Mitchell Jr. is joining a number of former officials who have joined Dentons, one of the largest law firms in the world.
The firm operates in 78 countries, has 175 offices and more than 10,000 lawyers. The senior leadership for the multi-national firm are primarily based in Beijing, London and Washington.
The firm said Tuesday it added Mitchell as a partner to its Public Policy practice, where he will play a national leadership role in the firm's Local Government Solutions group. The group works to bridge public and private sectors to solve challenges facing state and local governments across the nation.
Dentons, which acquired Atlanta-based McKenna Long Aldridge in 2015, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, has been a popular landing spot for former political leaders.
The firm's public policy practice has hired multiple leaders from the public service sector including several former mayors of American cities. Former Georgia Attorney's General Thurbert Baker and Sam Olens also work at the firm.
