ATLANTA — 11Alive has confirmed former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and others have been named in a subpoena in connection to the ongoing investigation into the City Hall bribery scandal.
According to documents from the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia obtained by 11Alive, former Mayor Kasim Reed, his brother Tracy Reed, Evelyn Katrina Taylor-Parks and Mitzi Bickers have all been ordered to turn over records pertaining to the use of City of Atlanta Purchasing Cards. Included in the documentation are account statements, receipts, current and former policies and procedures and others.
At this point, the mayor is not accused of any wrongdoing. Bickers, the former head of the city's Department of Human Services under Reed, was indicted April 5 on money laundering, bribery and other charges.
The subpoena also called for documents having to do with former deputy Chief of Staff Evelyn Katrina Taylor-Parks and her employment, compensation, disciplinary history, ethics records, and travel records from 2011 to 2017.
