ATLANTA — Three days after severe weather hit Georgia and neighboring state Alabama, the National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for Wednesday morning lasting until 11:00 a.m. Then another freeze warning will go into effect Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. -10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
The warning is for North Georgia and includes parts of metro Atlanta. Temperatures could get as low as 20 degrees, according to NWS.
Some of the people who were in the path of Sunday's severe weather even experienced a little dusting.

Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Coweta, Dade, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Fannin, Floyd, Forsyth, Gilmer, Gordon, Gwinnett, Hall, Haralson, Heard, Jackson, Lumpkin, Murray, North Fulton, Paulding Pickens, Polk, South Fulton, Towns, Troup, Union, Walker, White and Whitfield.
TIMING
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20's Wednesday night.
IMPACTS
According to the NWS, a freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions can kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
Make sure you bring your pets inside, as well.
The City of Atlanta opened its warming center at the Old Adamsville Recreation Center at 3404 Delmar Lane NW in Atlanta Monday at 10 p.m. Free transportation will be provided from the Gateway Center at 275 Pryor Street SW in Atlanta. Men, women and children are welcome. It will remain open until late Wednesday morning.
