ATLANTA — Teachers around the world are going the extra mile with creativity to talk about their experience while staying at home, and keeping students motivated to do work on what feels like a break during the ongoing quarantine brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students at Jackson Elementary School in Atlanta got the chuckle of a lifetime when their principal rapped in a music video.
Faith Cawthon-Green, whose daughter attends the school, shared the clip with 11Alive.
In the video, principal Brent McBride compiles clips of teachers working from home, and sings a parody to Billie Ellish’s hit song, “Bad Guy.” McBride pokes fun at himself, calling himself the “Bald Guy.”
The music video features McBride dressing up as a school mascot and roaming the halls of the empty school.
“So we’re in quarantine, try to keep your room clean. Practice social distancing, make sure you keep your hands clean. Dance a Tik Tok video, we got a few more weeks to go,” McBride sings.
