COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County commissioners are asking essential businesses to be aware, and make sure they and their customers are social-distancing.
At a meeting, Wednesday, the Cobb County Public Health Department said some big box stores aren’t following guidelines closely enough.
Cobb County leaders are still urging residents to practice social distancing even inside stores. Public health officials for the county said they still noticed a large concentration of people at many of the big-box stores selling essential items.
And many of them are not maintaining social distancing guidelines by staying six feet away from other people.
“We did some best practices across the country about what are some things that large stores can do to maintain that social distancing; so, we’d ask that they just follow those guidelines,” said one public health official.
The Cobb County Public Health Department said they’ve sent out guidelines.
