Delta waives change fees for international travel due to coronavirus concerns

The waiver applies to all travel outside the U.S. as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines will waive change fees for all flights booked between March 1 through March 31 to any international destination the airline serves, they said on Monday.

This travel waiver allows customers to make a one-time change to their itinerary without incurring a fee. The waiver applies to all travel outside the U.S., as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

"As concerns continue about COVID-19, we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety and welfare of customers," the airline said.

"Delta is in constant contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, the world's foremost experts on communicable diseases, as well as health officials in the affected areas, and we are following their guidance," the company said.
