ATLANTA — Nearly 4,600 Walmart pharmacies will host Walmart Wellness Day for the back-to-school season this Saturday.
From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., customers can receive free screenings for glucose, cholesterol, BMI and blood pressure and affordable flu, COVID-19, HPV, tetanus, hepatitis immunizations and more. According to a release, some stores will also have vision screenings available.
Families can also chat with pharmacists and learn about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
“As a back-to-school destination, Walmart’s Wellness Day provides a unique opportunity for families to streamline health needs and school supply shopping,” Kevin Host, Walmart’s Senior Vice President of Pharmacy, said in the release. “It’s one of our favorite times of the year, and we are thrilled we can provide affordable health options for communities across the country on Wellness Day to help start the school year off strong.”
Since 2014, Walmart Wellness Days have given more than 5 million free health screenings.
