HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Police are still gathering up remaining suspects after an armed robbery in Henry County ended with a crash on one of Atlanta's busiest roadways.

According to Henry County Police Spokesperson Joey Smith, this office was involved in a chase involving armed suspects who had robbed a cell phone store in Locust Grove.

Henry County officers intercepted the suspected getaway vehicle on I-75 heading north and began their pursuit. The vehicle ultimately crashed in the area of Jonesboro Road and I-285 in Atlanta. Police said the suspects ran from the scene of the crash so officers then began to chase them on foot.

Smith said "one or more" suspects were taken into custody but others were still on the run as of their previous report.  Atlanta Police, who are assisting in the search, said there didn't appear to be any significant injuries and that the car that was hit left the scene.

Locust Grove is handling the initial armed robbery investigation.
