Kamiyah Mobley's birth mother - Shanara Mobley - was interviewed Friday by British tabloid DailyMail.com.
The interview was conducted on the same day that Gloria Williams was sentenced to 18 years in prison for kidnapping Kamiyah from a Jacksonville hospital hours after a 16-year-old Shanara Mobley gave birth to her.
During an interview Monday on ABC's Good Morning America, Kamiyah, 19, said she still has a relationship with Williams and talks to the kidnapper multiple times a week.
During the Daily Mail interview, Shanara Mobley, 36, said she gave her daughter an ultimatum: "I shouldn't have to compete with a kidnapper - she has to pick one of us."
During her interview with ABC correspondent Eva Pilgrim, Kamiyah says "I talked to [Gloria Williams] today." Before her arrest, Williams, 52, raised Kamiyah under the name Alexis Manigo.
"I still do call her mom," Kamiyah said during the interview, adding, "People that know me, call me Alexis. If you know me by Kamiyah - call me Kamiyah. I go by both."
"Right now, me and my baby are not talking," Shanara Mobley says in the Daily Mail interview. "How do I reach out for her when the woman that she loves more than me just got sentenced to 18 years today? I just feel like she (Kamiyah) has been blaming me for everything and she's just going to blame me for that too."
During the interview, Shanara Mobley said that she believes many people related to Gloria Williams are interfering with her relationship with her daughter.
"Every time I feel like me and my baby are making a little progress, you got too many people into what we're trying to build. You have that life she has in Walterboro (South Carolina). She won't let that life go. She has a family, a whole life here (Jacksonville) with open arms. We love her. ... and every time I feel like we're getting somewhere, you got the kidnapper reaching out to her all the time. You have the kidnapper's parents paying the phone bill so she (Gloria Williams) can reach to her.
The kidnapper's family, I feel is very disrespectful," Shanara Mobley said. "They keep reaching out to my daughter ... she (Kamiyah) will be here at my house on the couch and the kidnapper's people will call and she'll say 'I'm at my momma's house' and they will continue carrying on a conversation."
"When a man rapes a woman, he's never allowed to contact her again, so why can this kidnapper continue to reach out to her victim," Shanara Mobley states in the Daily Mail interview.
When asked what message she has for Gloria Williams, Shanara Mobley said, "my message to Gloria 'the kidnapper' Williams is ... I hate you. And I pray to God that he changes my heart towards you, but I hate you and that hate is very, very, very strong. ... and I want to forgive you, but help me forgive you. Let my baby go."
