Lawrenceville officer breaks the ice with 'Baby Shark'

When a young girl was nervous during a 9-1-1 lesson, Officer Barnes knew what would make her feel better.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A Lawrenceville Police Officer's performance of the children's song, "Baby Shark," has gotten him rave reviews from around the country when a video was posted on Facebook.

Officer Terrence Barnes was at God's Little Creation Christian Academy in Lawrenceville teaching kid's about 911 when he noticed one particularly shy little girl.

That's the moment that cameras started rolling and got Officer Barnes' rendition of "Baby Shark." Soon the little girl was singing along.

"She opened up to us and she was like the life of the party," Officer Barnes said.

Denise Roland, the owner of the school, appreciated the officer taking the time to make the young girl comfortable.

"Back in my day, we called them Officer Friendly, and Officer Friendly was there for you. That police department was there for you; they were helpful," Roland said.
