ATLANTA — A man is now dead and another injured after a shooting in Atlanta's Summerhill neighborhood Monday morning, according to police.
The deadly shooting happened at the intersection of Hank Aaron Drive and Ormond Street.
Fulton County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 46-year-old Dajuan Jackson. Another person was injured and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to APD.
Jackson's brother, Demetrius Lester, was on the scene when 11Alive crews arrived. He was heartbroken when he got the news his brother had been shot.
"My brother has a good heart. We come from a good family," Lester said. "He is the type of person if someone is hungry or need to borrow some money, he will come out of his pocket and give them his last."
Jackson leaves behind a stepson, a sister, and a brother.
Police have not released any details on any suspects or any details leading up to the shooting.
