ROSWELL, Ga. -- Police say a passenger riding in a pickup truck with a trailer is dead after the vehicle was involved in an accident, Monday.
According to Roswell Police, the truck crashed into a utility pole on Hardscrabble Road around 3:00 p.m.
When first responders arrived, the passenger of the vehicle was already dead. Emergency crews transported the driver of the truck to the hospital, alert and conscious.
Authorities closed the road from Hwy 92 (Crossville Road) to King Road so that crews from Georgia Power could repair the pole, which split in half from the crash impact.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No information on the victims' identities was available.
